3. Hike in Mont-Tremblant National Park

Founded in 1895, Mont-Tremblant National Park is the oldest in Quebec and the third oldest in Canada after Banff and Yoho. It’s stunning year-round, but the lush greenery and cascading waterfalls make summer especially memorable. Don’t miss hiking trails like Boucle-des-Chutes-Croches, Sentier de la Roche, Chute-du-Diable and Lac des Femmes. You can also rent a kayak, canoe or paddleboard to explore the park from the water.

4. Stroll through Tremblant’s pedestrian village

It’s almost impossible to visit the Laurentians without stopping in Tremblant. Its pedestrian village is famous for its colorful buildings, architecture reminiscent of European alpine villages, and lively atmosphere, it’s the kind of place where you quickly forget about everyday obligations. Stroll around without a specific plan and enjoy the sunny terraces, simply savoring the vacation vibe that makes this destination so charming.

As you wander the streets, you’ll find a lot of great places to eat and drink. Stop by La Maison de la Crêpe for a delicious brunch in the sun, explore the local shops to find a souvenir or some gourmet treats, then make a detour to Le Petit Géant for a round of mini-golf with family or friends.

To complete your visit, board the panoramic gondola that leads to Tremblant’s summit. Once up there, you’ll be rewarded with a spectacular view of Lake Tremblant, the Laurentian mountains and the vast forests that stretch as far as the eye can see. It’s undoubtedly one of the best ways to admire the region and soak it all in.

5.  Romantic Dinner at Choux Gras Restaurant

Some places are truly memorable, and Choux Gras Brasserie Culinaire is certainly one of them. Nestled within the iconic Fairmont Tremblant, this restaurant is the ultimate foodie destination! From the moment you arrive, the elegant decor, fine materials, and breathtaking view of the pedestrian village create the perfect ambiance for enjoying an exceptional meal in the heart of the Laurentians.

Inspired by contemporary brasseries, the cuisine at Choux Gras celebrates Quebec’s flavors with a refined approach that highlights seasonal ingredients. Each dish testifies to the team’s expertise and attention to the smallest details. To begin our meal, we chose two refreshing appetizers: the delicate and perfectly balanced scallop ceviche, and the restaurant’s signature salad, so colorful and flavorful. The rest of the meal only confirmed our excellent first impression. The duck duo, prepared with great finesse, and the slow-cooked sous-vide veal cheek were simply outstanding.

We finished the meal on a high note with the frozen nougat with red berries and white chocolate pearls, a light and refreshing finale, before succumbing to the famous sugar tartlet with its crème brûlée and maple marshmallow. A comforting creation that has rightfully become one of the restaurant’s signature desserts.

What makes Choux Gras even more appealing is that its menu changes with the seasons. Updated twice a year, the menu features local ingredients and reimagined classics that always provide an excellent reason to return.

6. Stay in a Modern Tree House at Suite Chalets

Suite Chalets is an exceptional place to stay during your Laurentians getaway! We’ve stayed at the SKÖV and LYKKE chalets, but our latest favorite is the SNÖ, a panoramic luxury cabin nestled deep in nature. With its outdoor spa, BBQ, cozy lounge areas and stunning terrace overlooking the forest, it truly feels like a modern tree house.

Inside, you’ll find the signature comfort of Suite Chalets: three serene bedrooms and a spa-style bathroom with a freestanding tub. Whether you’re a couple or a group of friends, SNÖ is a dreamy spot to stay in the Laurentians this summer.
