1. Dinner under the stars at the Terrasse William Gray
Since November, Terrasse William Gray has been in winter mode to offer you an exceptional gastronomic experience in a geodesic dome. Housed on the 8th floor of the Hotel William Gray, you can enjoy an evening under the stars, a sublime view of Old Montreal and discover their delicious 5-course menu. The different dishes are prepared from ingredients from local producers and will evolve according to different monthly themes until April.
Accommodating 4 to 8 people, the heated domes are also available for brunch, with a 3-course menu, on weekends, allowing you to enjoy the winter terrace under the sun! If you’d like to go for a romantic date, you can reserve a dome for 2 people on Sunday through Wednesday evenings, offering an even more intimate setting to enjoy the spectacular view of Old Montreal. Whether for dinner or brunch, it’s truly a magical experience to try this winter for an unforgettable moment!

2. Admire the most beautiful view of Montreal’s Old Port
To enjoy a complete view of Montreal’s city and Old Port, we highly recommend taking a ride on the famous Montreal Ferris Wheel! Open year-round, Canada’s tallest observation wheel offers breathtaking 360-degree views of Montreal. Aboard one of the heated gondolas, with a delicious hot chocolate in hand, let yourself be amazed by the city during a ride of approximately 20 minutes.

3. Winter walk in the most beautiful parks of Montreal
Montreal has no shortage of natural spaces that allow you to take a pause from the frenzy of life for a nice walk. Maisonneuve Park is our favourite for its quiet trails and cross-country skiing, but each of the city’s neighborhoods offers great options for a winter stroll. Be sure to stop by Jarry Park in Villeray or Lahaie Park and Lafontaine Park in the Plateau-Mont-Royal for some fresh air this winter.

4. Attend an exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts
Whether it’s for the free first Sundays of the month at Quebec museums or for Wednesday evenings at $15.50, any occasion is a good one to explore the various galleries of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. This winter, several exhibitions will be presented, including Kent Monkman: History is Painted by Victors, showcasing iconic works by this world-renowned Canadian artist, a member of the Fisher River Cree Nation.
The Museum’s exterior is also featured, thanks to EVER MORE by artist Kurt Hentschläger, presented as part of the Digital Canvas and designed specifically for the MMFA’s outdoor space. In addition to the temporary exhibitions, you can also visit the various local and international art collections during your visit. With our freezing winters, you’ll definitely need a little warm and comforting break during your romantic getaway to Montreal. One of our guilty pleasures will always be the famous gnocchi from Drogheria Fine in Mile-End. At only $5, it’s the perfect snack on the go to warm you up on a cold day and feel like you’re in a small Italian town on the Mediterranean for a moment. To pamper your skin after facing the cold outside, there’s nothing better than a day of relaxation in the best urban spas in Montreal. For high-end treatments, the William Gray Spa, located inside the hotel of the same name, offers luxurious facilities including a halotherapy room filled with Himalayan salt, a warm quartz massage bed and a Spa Wave sound therapy system. Whether inside for a show, on the Place des Festivals or for the gastronomic experience of the event, you’ll find what you are looking for to spend a most complete romantic evening. If you want to try the ultimate Montreal en Lumière experience, it’s on February 28, 2026 with the classic Nuit Blanche!

For the most romantic winter evening in Montreal, Candlelight concerts by Fever are definitely among our favorite activities. Whether you’re a fan of film scores, classical music, or iconic bands like Queen, Coldplay, or Pink Floyd, you’re sure to find a concert you’ll love and enjoy an evening by candlelight in some of the city’s most emblematic venues.

We have a soft spot for the Rialto Theatre’s grand setting (inspired by the Paris Opera), but after seeing more than three different shows, we can confirm that each venue and performance promises a magical experience from beginning to end!
